ABOUT US In March of 2012 a group of individuals from the public, private, and faith based sectors came together to address the gaps and shortfalls in our community's resources regarding the circumstances prompting the homeless enigma overwhelming our community. Based on the results of an independent study the group developed a cohesive strategy to address the shortfalls and inadequacies of our current delivery system to provide for the needs of our homeless population. The hub of their plan was to establish a non-profit organization that would have the capability to unite our community's current resources, and fill the gaps in our current delivery system by utilizing proven best practice services.
Heritage House was established as a 501 c 3 non-profit to address these issues. In the past twelve months Heritage House has served 276 separate homeless individuals, provided over 500 separate units of service ranging from emergency food, clothing, and shelter to employment and permanent housing. As a result of our efforts 107 men, women and children no longer live on the streets of our community. |
